The Old Reader is no longer public

The Old Reader, which closes the top 5 best replacements of Google Reader according to replacereader.com , has recently been followed by a losing streak: something will break there, then several SSD disks have recently and consistently flown over several days . It must be remembered that the creators of The Old Reader always positioned their offspring as a non-commercial project “for themselves and friends” and only the news about the imminent closure of the RSS reader from Google brought some popularity to the service.


The developers announced that after 2 weeks the “public” version will cease to exist and only the “private” version will remain, into which the creators will migrate those who registered before March 14 and those who donated. If someone was torn between this service and any other (and at the same time donated nothing to the authors of The Old Reader) - I suppose it will now be easier to decide. The lucky ones are promised a faster version due to getting rid of thousands of users.

Also, the developers offered to get in touch with all those interested in purchasing the service, but not for the sake of a domain or other method of quick profit, namely for development, so it may be that the half-closing will not happen in the end.
