On Thursday, July 25, 2013, at half past one night Moscow time, Ilyusha had brain death.

Brain death and lack of respiration is the modern technical definition of death. Today's medical technology makes it possible to hold the body for a few more days on artificial respiration. They do this so that relatives can say goodbye. But this is a non-returnable condition. There was not a single case of rebirth after brain death.

Medically, his condition was called “coma without signs of brain activity.” Judging by the publications, some took it as a vegetative coma: when the brain is alive, but other technically replaceable organs do not work. In the vegetative state of the patient can be kept for years. But to keep the body in working condition for more than a few days with brain death is impossible.

The only hope we had was a diagnosis error. We ourselves could not create a miracle, but we let it happen.

Yesterday all hopes are over. Even such a strong body, as it was with Ilyusha, could not stand it. There were incompatible with life changes in the composition of the blood. We had to let him go with dignity. Doctors turned it off yesterday afternoon, the heart stopped.

Last September, Ilusha was diagnosed with terminal gastric cancer with metastases. No chances were given. All went killed. But a miracle happened. A very good doctor was found, and a strong body was susceptible to chemistry. Ilya literally came to life and was very active all this year until the last week, all metastases were gone. Everyone saw it and was amazed at the impossible.

Last week a tumor was found in the head. On Tuesday-Wednesday, cancer spread to the lining of the brain. Malignant meningitis led to irreversible consequences - his brain “burned out” in less than a day.

On Wednesday, Ilusha’s body will be brought home. I will say goodbye to Ilya next week - we will inform you about the place and time additionally.
