Xen 4.3 released
After 9 months of development, a new version of Xen 4.3.0 has been released.
With 1362 commits, 136,128 lines of code were affected. The development involved 90 developers from 27 companies and 25 individual developers.
New in version 4.3:
- Experimental support for ARM 32- and 64-bit architectures . ARMv7 support has been verified for Arndale Board, Samsung XE303C12-A01 Chromebook, ARM Fast Models and ARM Versatile Express devices. For ARMv8 checked ARM Fast Models.
- Open vSwitch support.
- Support up to 16TB of physical memory .
- Now supports more than 300 vCPU , verified to 750.
- Intel hardware virtualization support for APIC controllers and ACPI v5 interface.
- Support MWAIT to save electricity by the processor.
“And ... a NUMA architecture scheduler for better performance.”
