Sony is preparing a camera that connects to the smartphone
If you believe SonyAlphaRumors , then Sony is preparing a very strange device. While Nikon and Samsung use Android OS for their cameras, Sony decided to separate the photographic part and the smartphone part. According to rumors, the new device will combine in itself a 20-megapixel matrix from the new RX100MkII, ZEISS lens, battery and NFC + WiFi Direct module. By connecting such a “lens” to a smartphone (a magnetic mount is mentioned in the rumors), the user will be able to get photos of decent quality on the smartphone.
Of course, for now this is only a rumor, but this does not prevent us from discussing such a bold concept. From myself I can add only two thoughts:
