Android users are offered to make money on advertising on the smartphone lockbox
An interesting example of monetization (both its own and the user) is offered by a certain advertising company Locket, which has released an Android application that shows ads to the user right on the lock screen.
The logic of the company's actions is approximately as follows - the owner of the smartphone often uses it and unlocks the screen accordingly. What if to offer him at this moment to look at some kind of advertisement, to pay him for viewing, and to confirm this using the fact of unlocking the screen? For installation, there are geographical restrictions and, as far as you can understand without installing the application, it installs its own launcher and requires a double finger movement to unlock, as compared to the usual one in Android.
In more detail, the scheme looks like this - the user receives $ 0.01 for viewing ads, but it’s impossible to sit and methodically swipe across the screen: there is a technical limitation on the ability to earn no more than $ 0.03 per hour. Engadget was not too lazy to calculate that if you devote all your time around the clock to this activity, you can earn $ 262.80 in a year. This amount can be cashed, get a gift card or send it to charity. ')
