Sim City Sources Open under GNU GPL

The source code of the very first Sim City is open under the GNU GPL license, and not under the name known to all of us (Sim City), but under the code Micropolis.

The OLPC SimCity version, based on the same code, after all coordination with Electronic Arts, will be distributed free of charge with OLPC laptops.
