Wired journalists published a video yesterday, shot at a robotic factory in Fremont (California) that builds Tesla S. electric cars. The futuristic charisma of the company's owner, Elon Mask, is fully observed in this case, even taking into account that the video is staged. In general, a very good attempt was made in less than five minutes to give an idea of ββthe modern robotic production of cars from the beginning (material selection, stamping parts) to the end, when the finished Tesla S leaves the assembly hall.
The plant is located on an area of ββ5 million square feet (4,64500 m 2 ) - 3,000 people and 160 robots work at the plant, and the automation level is constantly increasing - the robots install the batteries, the engine itself, the inside of the car, all the cables (approximately in the middle of the video you can see that the seat of the car and the windshield are installed by the robot, and the person controls this process later). All this allows you to produce about 400 cars a week.
