Leadership Qualities

Yesterday I discussed with my wife if I could manage a team of designers and developers working on web projects. My arguments in their favor:

• I have been working in design for a long time;
• on my own mistakes I mastered (to some extent) the basics of usability, i.e. I do not make elementary mistakes;
• identified in many technologies of Internet programming (client and server);
• For a long time engaged in the development of various kinds of websites.

I reduced all the above arguments to the fact that when a customer comes to me I can correctly distribute the work between the PCP programmer, coder and designer, and in the process of working on the project I can make adjustments based on my own experience.

I would very much like to hear your opinion on what qualities and skills the head of the design team and web developers should possess .
