At CES in Los Angeles, which has already given us a lot of interesting new products, the GW4 smartphone from the Chinese company Wistron was “talented” with special attention. It works on the basis of the operating system MontaVista Linux 2.6, looks something like the HTC S620, and does not shine with special technical characteristics. Ask, what then is everybody writing about him?

Very simple - an unknown Wistron judged intelligently. And introducing the novelty, it stated that GW4
fully supports Google’s “fresh” platform for smartphones -
Android , although it doesn’t work on it yet. But everything is ahead! This wonderful platform will be installed on GW4 in March and almost immediately they will start selling new smartphones. In general, it seems that the GW4 from Wistron will be the first Android device on the market.

It is curious that the Wistron brand is not going to sell a smartphone under its brand. The company has only developed a device, and it will go to the masses under the brands of some of the “largest suppliers” (possibly, telecom operators, as well as Wistron customers, among which, by the way, are Dell, IBM and Hewlett-Packard). The prices for the device will be set by these suppliers - Wistron itself did not even mention the approximate market value of its development.
