Layout of MIR station at a scale of 1: 3 inside a giant pyramid

Just think about it! A group of Russian children will build a huge pyramid (19x19 meters around the perimeter and 11 meters in height), inside this pyramid there will be a floating copy of the MIR space station on a scale of 1: 3. A team of Russian artists-designers won the competition for the installation of such an art object at the American festival of "radical self-expression" Burning Man, which will be held in August 2013 in the Black Rock Desert. This is the first and so far the only case of Russian participation in the festival in its entire 27-year history.

To implement the project, the team collectively needs about $ 60,000 (1.8 million rubles). And only a portion of this amount is covered by the Burning Man grant. The remaining amount must be obtained by the team yourself!

To obtain the necessary funds, the team launched:

This is a very impressive project. Separately, it is worth noting that the Mir station is reproduced with preservation of authenticity, the sequentially joined modules of the station are recreated.

A complete picture of the layout can be obtained from the demo video.

In my opinion, everything looks very airy and truly cosmic. The only pity is that in the project awards there are no separate blocks or a whole mockup of the space station. It would also be great to do something in the spirit of da Vinci-style drawings with a schematic representation of the structure. Personally, I really liked the layout; a wonderful designer would have come out of it.

It will be very nice if you can get interested in such space giants as skydiver Felix Baumgartner, who did the YouTube star, jump into the stratosphere, Paolo Nespoli, who leads his Earth Twitter from Earth orbit, and of course Chris Hadfield, who sang in space and also leads your twitter .

I wish the guys good luck in both companies. To lead them both at the same time is very difficult, but the cosmos itself should help them.
