Sky Link Launches Eighth Mobile Channel

Sky Link, the St. Petersburg division of the operator , launched video broadcasting of the eighth television channel to mobile phones as part of the trial operation of video services. Today, subscribers of the company using the Sky Turbo service can see eight different channels on the screens of their mobile phones, as well as video clips and movie trailers.

The experimental operation of the Mobile TV, Video Library and Video Surveillance video services began in Moscow and St. Petersburg on August 15, 2006. EV-DO technology is used to transmit the video stream, and the data transfer rate reaches 2.4 Mbit / s and provides a very high image quality.
