Fake ATMs found in Moscow

In the capital Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports and two large shopping centers found fake ATMs belonging to a non-existent bank.

ATM scams looked quite plausible and gave the impression of working. However, after entering the PIN code and requesting money, a denial of service message appeared on the screen. Since the information has not been sent anywhere, the issuer and the payment system do not have information about this “operation”. The device was used by fraudsters to gain access to card accounts and write off money from them.

In this way, attackers who installed ATMs got access to card accounts in order to debit money from them.
