Hyundai T10 - tablet 10.1 "on Exynos 4412 with 3G and GPS

The Chinese company Hyundai has released its new tablet model with marking T10. Last fall, we already heard about inexpensive tablets from Hyundai Digital - Hyundai Rock X and Hyundai Hold X, which are equipped with seven and eight inch screens, respectively. Also in early 2013, we introduced you to the seven-inch Hyundai T7 , which has a design like a mobile phone. And now the Hyundai T10 tablet came into our hands.

It is not difficult to guess that the Hyundai T10 got a screen with a diagonal of 10 inches - this is clear from the marking. Other features of the tablet also offer good opportunities for work or entertainment. This model supports many formats of video and music for fans to watch different movies, as well as almost all formats of documents for e-books, which allows you to use the tablet as a reader. What exactly is this device? I propose to get acquainted in our today's article.

â–Ś PACKING

The tablet comes in a large white box of solid cardboard. In the corners are located: the name and marking of the tablet, sticker, processor model.

image

On the reverse side there is no useful information. Only various icons, information about the manufacturer and labeling the version of the tablet.

image

The box has a 2-level system: the tablet itself is usually on top, and the accessories are on the bottom.

image

A set of accessories is quite large: power supply, adapter for euro plug, manual, warranty card, sticker, microUSB cable, OTG cable and headphones.

image

I liked that each accessory is packed in a separate bag.

image

Grade and box I liked. Well, when the power supply is placed in the box, and does not go separately. Such a successful solution, unfortunately, is not used by all manufacturers.

â–Ś DESIGN, DIMENSIONS, CONTROL ELEMENTS

Externally, the Hyundai T10 is a bit like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. But only in all dimensions Chinese tablet a little more. The front side is made of plastic. Above the screen is the front camera, and to the right of it is the charging indicator.

image

The back and the ends are made of metal. At the top there is a small metal cutout in which the camera's eye is located.

image

By the way, the tablet design was developed in Korea, and it was made in China.

image

On the left side there is a volume rocker and power button.

image

The button and the rocker are soft pressed and the middle move, there are no problems with them.

image

Immediately stand out a pair of speakers that are on the back of the tablet, closer to the left end.

image

The right end contains all the necessary connectors for working with the tablet. Namely: miniHDMI, USB, DC-IN, microphone and 3.5 mm headphone jack.

image

SIM card slots (standard Mini-SIM format) and memory cards are hidden under the latch.

image

At the bottom of the tablet is the port for connecting the keyboard. And two holes for stable connectivity.

image

Hyundai T10 is quite pleasant. The tablet fits perfectly in the hand, does not weigh very much, given its 10-inch screen. The device is securely assembled: nothing creaks and does not hang out. In addition, the appearance of the model leaves a good impression. Thickness and weight are not minimal, but quite reasonable.

â–Ś DISPLAY

The tablet uses a 10.1-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The sensor supports five-finger multitouch. When you set the maximum brightness of the display remains readable in the sun.

image

Viewing angles tend to 180 degrees.

image

The color rendition is good, the picture is quite juicy and contrasting.

image

Traditionally, the IPS display does not fail and is great for a tablet. It is possible that it would be better to install a screen with a higher resolution, but because of this, the performance of the device would decrease, and this is not entirely desirable. Although with the current resolution it is quite comfortable to work with the tablet.

â–Ś CAMERAS

The tablet has two cameras - the rear 5 MP without autofocus and flash and the front 0.3 MP.
Cameras are intended primarily for video calls, support work with Skype, but the picture quality is poor.

Snapshot from camera 5 MP.

Snapshot from camera 2 MP.

Cameras are the most common and budget. However, for undemanding video conferencing, where the main thing for you to know, they are enough.

â–Ś SOFTWARE PLATFORM

The model comes with a pre-installed Android 4.0.4 and several wallpaper with widgets.

image

Added a third-party player (apparently to increase the number of readable formats) and voice recorder. All Google applications work without problems. Compatibility with applications in the Play Store is quite high, after all, the processor and video accelerator are notorious. I want to draw attention to the fact that the tablet can call and send SMS.

image

The tablet runs at 1.6 GHz, as stated in the specifications.

image

Of the 2 GB of RAM, only 1.6 GB is available to us. A user memory is enough, as much as 13 GB and 1 GB for applications.

image

After testing the tablet Hyundai T10, I can safely say that the device works quickly, especially the interface. There are no brakes, everything works smoothly, just the way all users want it. And you can see that to achieve this result, you need quite a bit: a quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM, then everything will be great.

â–Ś PRODUCTIVITY

Quad-core processor, two gigabytes of RAM - a desktop PC could envy such a set just recently. The tablet copes with any tasks, does not freeze, and in benchmarks it shows high results for its filling.

image

The Hyundai T10 showed quite good results in the AnTuTu Benchmark - 17184. The device easily overtook Asus Transformer Prime and Google Nexus 7.

image

Indicator 3DMark was 2855 points.

image

Judging by the results of the tests, the tablet is quite fast. There are no problems in games either. The most modern toy today - Gangstar Vegas works without complaints.

image

Not a hard game Crazy Taxi is also great.

image

In fact, as I said, the Hyundai T10 works really fast and does not experience any performance problems.

â–Ś WIRELESS NETWORKS

The tablet has an excellent Wi-Fi reception. Not far from the router, the signal is stable, if it is in another room, the device also will not break the connection.

image

Bluetooth functions without problems. The external keyboard is normally connected and working.

image

The data transfer rate in 3G networks averaged 200–300 KB / s at the reception — not bad. The loss of network connectivity for the Hyundai T10 has not been noticed.

image

With 3G, you can wander through the pages on the Internet or communicate on social networks, the benefit of speed and performance allow.

image

To be honest, with GPS, in the model I got into the hands, everything is bad. Satellites are caught for a very long time. Usually, when GPS is running, a flashing indicator appears at the bottom right, near the clock. But here, in order for it to blink, you must first go to the status bar, tap on the screen, and only after that satellites will be searched. Here is such a small dance with a tambourine. You can still sometimes click through the menus - the indicator also starts flashing.
Helping a lot with picking with gps.conf, for someone, everything is perfectly caught. I managed to catch 2 satellites in the street.

â–Ś BATTERY, CHARGING, TIME OF WORK

The tablet has a lithium-ion non-removable battery with a capacity of 6500 mAh. Full recharging takes about 4 and a half hours.

When playing a video file using MX Player, with the screen brightness set to maximum and at full volume through the speakers, the tablet worked for more than 8 hours! And in reading mode at a brightness of 10% for more than 11 hours. I think this is a good result.

â–Ś CONCLUSION

At the time of this review, the Hyundai T10 is one of the most powerful Chinese tablets on me. He copes with absolutely every day tasks. There are disadvantages and they relate primarily to a poorly functioning GPS and a small number of updates for the tablet. But in general, it turned out to be a fairly decent model, which can easily compete with other models on the market. And, by the way, the second revision of the tablet has already appeared. As far as I saw, judging by the reviews, we adjusted the GPS module, removed the input under the keyboard, moved the speakers, changed the back surface.
