"National Cable Networks" buy assets in the Internet industry

National Cable Networks (NKS), the largest cable TV operator in Russia, has bought 100% of the shares of Yekaterinburg provider Cabinet, the agency "New Region" reports. Experts from Finam estimate the purchase at $ 3-3.2 million, and in J'son & Parners they talk about $ 6 million. The parties themselves do not disclose the amount of the transaction.

“We have a cable television operator, NKS-Eurasia, in Yekaterinburg,” says Sergey Kalugin, the general director of the NKS, “now we want to do more with the Internet.” Competitors NKS suggest that the company will continue to develop in the market of Internet TV.
