Russian satellite "Resource-P" made the first test shots

I understand that after the unsuccessful launch of the Proton-M it is quite dangerous to talk about the successes of our cosmonautics, but for this reason, in order not to dwell only on failures, let's rejoice that successfully launched Resurs-P successfully tested the internal systems.

As reported by Roskosmos, on July 2, 2013, the first test switches were made on the target optical-electronic surveillance equipment Geoton (which is of high resolution with details up to 70 cm per pixel) installed on the Resurs-P spacecraft, and the first images were taken .

According to a preliminary assessment of specialists who are currently processing and analyzing the information received, the resulting images generally correspond to the specified requirements and confirm the high tactical and technical characteristics of the device.

The launch of the Earth Resource-P remote sensing spacecraft was successfully carried out on June 25, 2013 from the Baikonur cosmodrome by the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle. Since that time, the onboard systems of the spacecraft have been checked. According to Roskosmos, the parameters characterizing the state of the spacecraft (temperature, pressure in the compartments, supply voltage) are within the normal range.
