Google, represented by Brad Fitzpatrick, has joined the working group that develops DataPortability's automatic data transfer algorithms. The group, in addition to Google, will include developers from several major social networks: Facebook and Plaxo.
The main goal of the group will be to develop a technology for automatically transferring user-generated content between various social networks.
“The association serves the purpose of creating a new generation of software, primarily in the field of social networks. With its help, users will be able to find their friends and view photos and other materials in all networks from one interface, ”the group’s founder, Chris Saad, wrote in a press release.
