Firefox OS smartphones go on sale

The first devices officially presented under the operating system Firefox OS are the Alcatel One Touch Fire and ZTE Open models from the operators Deutsche Telekom (Germany) and Telefonica (Spain), respectively. ZTE Open sales began today, July 2, 2013.

Firefox OS is the first open source operating system on the Linux kernel to natively launch HTML5 applications. Each program (calls, SMS, mail) on the phone is a web application.
