Quality hosting - myth or reality?

Stumbled upon the November post “ Will there be normal hosting in Russia? "And wondered ... In fact, will it?

I do not have a megaportal - on average, less than two hundred people a day, and I don’t need much. A standard set of PHP, MySQL, mail and several GB of disk space - respectively, you don’t have to start / rent a separate server.

Previously, I used an acquaintance to get the hosting of the district provider. He worked, in general, quite quickly, but occasionally unpleasantly buggy, and since only one comrade was administering him, who was sometimes difficult to get at a crucial moment, I decided it was time to use something paid - like the big ones.

I chose one of the most popular hosting sites - Masterhost. It worked. But it is constantly buggy. Sometimes it works quickly, and sometimes the base slows indecently (pages of average complexity are generated in 6-7 seconds!). That site is available - it is inaccessible or terribly slow. The last drop of this DDoS ...

And the logical question arises: what to do? Who is guilty? Use another hosting? Which one Overseas? Something else? Kill someone?

I can understand when some nm.ru is unavailable - at least it is free. And this ...

Who faced similar difficulties, share your experience.

UPD: I have no complaints about the Masterhost technical support service - they usually respond quickly and efficiently. But, apparently, many things do not depend on them.
