What can be done with 200 Nokia Lumia 825 smartphones (developer models based on the Lumia 820)?
Rudy Huyn , an independent mobile apps developer and a big connoisseur of the Windows Phone platform, had a great idea on this subject, which he was able to implement at the Microsoft BUILD conference in San Francisco.

Representatives from Nokia and Microsoft turned to Rudy with a request to create something really impressive for BUILD visitors - something that cannot be missed. As a result, conference guests were greeted with an interactive panel with a total resolution of 12,000 by 6,400 pixels from Nokia Lumia smartphones. The screen presented the best applications from the Windows Phone App Store and a huge map that was managed via Wi-Fi (IP multicast) with the help of another Lumiya. The program, which allows to “revive” this impressive modular display, also helped to write Rudy.
By the way, Rudy is the winner of the Lumia Geek 8-Week Challenge , and the idea of an interactive display with Bing cards appeared to him more than a year ago. Just before the developer had not enough smartphones to implement it.
The design in action looks really impressive, you can appreciate the scope on this gif-image . In addition, visitors to the exhibition could not only study the huge display, but also mark their cities on it - that is, in fact, add themselves to the map.
