Firefox 23 release

Firefox for desktops has become available for download. What's new in this version:

• New logo :
  
  Also updated logos for channels Aurora and Nightly . All logos are already available in different formats and in high resolution in the Mozilla Style Guide ;
• The inclusion of a default blocker of mixed content designed to protect users from MITM attacks (“Man-In-The-Middle”) and eavesdropping traffic on HTTPS pages;
• The settings of the search provider are combined with the search panel : you can switch to another search engine, change the search settings in the address bar or the contextual search directly from the search panel;
• Slightly redesigned page about: memory ;
• A new “Share” button has been added to the interface, which allows one-click sharing of links with users of social networks (the button is available only if you already have one of the services connected, for example, Facebook );
• The settings were cleaned, from which items such as “Automatically load images”, “Use JavaScript”, “Always display tab bar”, and also enable / disable SSL and TLS items were removed;
• Added support for TLS 1.1, to activate which you need to set the variable security.tls.version.max = 2 in about: config ;
• Simplified interface for displaying plug-in installation notifications;
• In Windows Vista and above, DXVA2 support is included to speed up H.264 video decoding;
• The audio capture code for WebRTC involves a new resampler, created by the developers of the Speex codec and not tied to a fixed frequency of 44000Hz;
• The use of Content Security Policy rules set through the syntax and semantics defined in the standard is activated;
• A new tool has been added to the “Toolbar” - Network (Network Monitor) ;
• HTML5 element support input type = range (support for this element was scheduled in Firefox 22, but it was turned off before release);
• Improved form rendering input type = file
• Added support for non-prefix requestAnimationFrame;
• The blink tag and the text-decoration: blink CSS properties have been completely discontinued .
