Good Friday, Habr!
Last week, Samsung held a presentation in London, where new products from the GALAXY and ATIV families were presented. What just was not at the exhibition: from smartphones and tablets to laptops, all-in-one computers and even cameras. Below we look at those that were presented to a wide audience for the first time.

The highlight of the program, of course, were two new tablets based on Windows 8 - ATIV Q and ATIV Tab 3.
')
Samsung ATIV Q is the first “transformer” notebook in a series of various portable equipment of the company, which can work in four functional modes: a laptop, a tablet, work with a screen on weight and a presentation.

But this is by no means the most surprising thing to be found in the new gadget: ATIV Q works on the basis of the full-fledged Windows 8 Pro ... and Android OS version 4.2.2 (by the way, it’s stock - without TouchWiz)! Yes, yes, this is not a mistake: the device works under two operating systems with the ability to switch between them literally on the fly. This alone makes the laptop an extremely interesting novelty.

Another undoubted advantage of the ATIV Q is the 13.3-inch high-resolution QHD + touchscreen (3200 Ă— 1800 pixels). The pixel density on it is 2.8 times higher than modern Full HD displays can offer - 275 ppi. The material from which the laptop is made is aluminum of dark blue color. The thickness of the case is only 13.9 mm, and the weight is 1.29 kg.

As for performance, the information is still at a minimum: the laptop runs on the latest-generation Intel Haswell quad-core processor, the integrated graphics are Intel HD 4400, the amount of RAM is 4 GB, and the capacity of the integrated SSD is up to 256 GB.
Specifications:- The screen is a 13.3-inch touchscreen QHD + with a resolution of 3200 x 1800 and with a pixel density of 275 ppi;

The first and most remarkable feature of the new Samsung ATIV Tab 3 tablet is the fact that the device works on the basis of a full-fledged Windows 8 OS (note, not RT). As noted by some IT experts who were present at the presentation, “at the moment it is the thinnest and lightest tablet on a full eight”: its thickness is only 8.2 mm and weighs 550 grams.

In addition to compact size, ATIV Tab 3 has good performance due to the updated Intel Atom Z2760 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal eMMC memory. The declared battery life is up to 10 hours. Screen size is 10.1 inches, and resolution - 1366 x 768 pixels. The tablet supports ten finger multitouch and has an oleophobic coating for more convenient device control.

ATIV Q and ATIV Tab 3 are equipped with the S Pen, which will undoubtedly come in handy more creatively for people or those who simply like handwriting and screen control. Also, a useful SideSync application is preinstalled on both tablets, which creates a real symbiosis between your mobile and PC devices, allowing you to switch to a Samsung smartphone while you are working at a computer. Using this application, you can, for example, type an SMS on a smartphone using a PC keyboard or view maps, photos and videos from a smartphone on the big screen of your monitor, as well as perform many other useful interactions between two devices.
