LiveJournal communities will be sponsored

The LiveJournal.com team is preparing a new proposal - sponsored communities. They will be managed by companies looking for a tool to interact directly with those people who are interested in more extensive information about their product.

For example, by visiting the LiveJournal community of the creators of the next cinematic hit, the user can see the exclusive trailer, learn about the working "kitchen", download promotional pictures, etc. Or, going to the site of the tour operator, ask the organizers in detail about the upcoming trip. This is reported in the community lj_biz.

Sponsored communities will function along the same lines as regular ones. But on the pages of each of them should be a banner indicating the status of the sponsored community. It is reported that the first blog to use the service, was LJ film fantasy film by Michel Gondry "Science of Sleep" (The Science Of Sleep).
