Today I want to talk about the 7-inch tablet from the company iconBIT - NT-3702M. The main difference between the tablet is that it has a rich support for wireless networks and standards - it is 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. And this is achieved not through plug-ins, like a USB modem, but due to the integration of wireless networks.

In general, 3G modules are not so widespread among budget tablets. But here we see an inexpensive tablet with a good screen and the right modules that the average user might need.
How does the model behave in practice? Detailed review of the device - under the cut.
â–Ś TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The iconBIT NetTAB MATRIX 3G DUO tablet is based on MediaTeK’s MTK8377 dual-core processor. The Chinese company focuses on the development of low-cost chips for smartphones and other devices that require maximum battery life, albeit without performance records. â–Ś DESIGN, DIMENSIONS, CONTROL ELEMENTS
On the front side of the tablet is not much stands out. The front panel is traditionally made of black plastic. The front camera is in the upper left corner.

In the middle is a hole under the conversational speaker. Light sensor is absent.

The back side of the tablet is made of matte porous plastic, very pleasant to the touch. Thanks to him, the tablet does not get dirty and does not slip out of the hands. Also on the back you can see the holes for stereo speakers (by the way, the sound is quite loud).

On the back of the camera protrudes from the body. It is located on the plastic insert.

The cover of the tablet is not removable, so that the battery itself can not be changed. Connectors for microSD and SIM cards for work in GSM / WCDMA networks are under a large plastic cap. In addition, there is a hole under the Reset button.

At the top there is a microUSB connector, a power button and an audio output.

The volume rocker and the Home button are located on the left side of the tablet. The buttons are thin, pressed comfortably.

Assembled tablet quality. The case itself is also quite reliable. There are no backlashes and squeaks.
â–Ś DISPLAY
The iconBIT NT-3702M screen has an IPS display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, and a pixel density of 173 dots per inch.

The tablet responds well to pressing and supports up to five simultaneous touches.

The viewing angle of the screen on all sides is 180 degrees.

In the car (if you use a tablet as a GPS navigator), such a screen is quite enough, the brightness is enough. In direct sunlight, there is still a lightening of colors, but the contrasting text remains well readable.
â–Ś CAMERAS
The tablet has two cameras: the main one with a resolution of 8 MP and the front camera with a resolution of 2 MP.
The image quality of the rear camera, in my opinion is terrible, although there is autofocus and the resolution seems to be quite good.

No way to compare with the same 8 MP from Nexus 4. Why this quality is not clear.

The front camera supports video calls using Skype. Image quality is at the level of other tablets with a similar camera.

It copes with its task only in good light: in dark rooms, the picture is cluttered with noises and other artifacts, becoming unreadable to the interlocutor. You can write the same words about the main camera: you can get normal photos with it only in bright daylight, and even then they will have poor quality.
â–Ś SOFTWARE PLATFORM
The tablet is running Android OS 4.1.1.

There are all the standard programs from Google, such as the Gmail email client, Maps, Google + and the Play Store, apps, books and movies store. IconBIT did not pollute the operating system with branded launchers - the standard interface.

There are several additional applications: MX Player, Task and Documents To Go.

The notification panel contains the main necessary parameters, which are divided into three tabs. Here you can quickly switch the SIM card, turn off / turn on the desired module, or change the sound profile.

Information about the system.

Unfortunately, the device has a small amount of internal memory, but the benefit of it can be expanded using a microSD card. Yes, and Android is not the latest to date. Hopefully, iconBIT will not abandon the device and release new software for its product. And, probably, there are not enough programs for reading, but this can always be fixed by putting them on your own from Google Play. And it is quite a good and convenient interface without unnecessary chips from the manufacturer, which not everyone can like.
â–Ś WIRELESS NETWORKS
Managing SIM-cards is implemented quite conveniently. In the settings, you can find the SIM Management menu, where you can turn on / off a single SIM card, set network connection settings, and select the color scheme of the SIM card. The status bar has a tab that also helps to switch the active SIM card.

The device can be used as a car GPS navigator. Free "Maps" from Google or Yandex are suitable for navigation.

“Cold start” - about 5-7 minutes, “hot” - up to 10 seconds. A-GPS or Wi-Fi can help to determine the coordinates more accurately.

The tablet contains both the “blue tooth” of the fourth version and Wi-Fi with support for b / g / n protocols. The data transfer rate in the home Wi-Fi network is about 25 Mbit / s, and the signal reception level remains stable even at a distance of five meters from the router.

As for cellular communication, there are no problems. The tablet confidently catches both 2G and 3G networks. When talking, with the tablet attached to the ear, the interlocutor at the other end could be heard well. The speed depends on the coverage of your network operator. At my house in the apartment gave the following result.

â–Ś PRODUCTIVITY
Iron is certainly not the top of all that Chinese companies can offer. In addition to the dual-core processor running at 1.2 GHz, the tablet has a PowerVR SGX531 video accelerator, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of storage.
In AnTuTu Benchmark device scored more than six and a half thousand points. Unfortunately, this is not a very revealing result, but what else to expect from such a filling.

In fact, the tablet works quite well. The interface does not slow down, but sometimes there are delays. In simple puzzles or arcades everything works fine.

Many 3D games also run and work without complaints.

For example, GTA Vice City on the maximum schedule works perfectly.

â–Ś AUTONOMOUS WORK
The tablet is powered by a battery with a capacity of 3600 mAh. For a seven-inch tablet battery, this is an ample capacity. In AnTuTu Tester, the device scored 654 points, discharging from 100 to 19% at maximum screen brightness and with an active Wi-Fi connection in almost four and a half hours.

Reducing the backlight of the display allows you to extend the battery life for several hours. In the mode of continuous playback of video with the maximum illumination of the display, the tablet lasted almost four and a half hours ...

Also it is worth considering that the use of a 3G connection actively consumes battery power. And by the way, the tablet can be charged from a computer via microUSB cable.
â–Ś CONCLUSION
Tablet iconBIT NetTAB MATRIX 3G DUO perfectly copes with the tasks for which it is designed. The manufacturer clearly did not set a goal to create a gaming gadget with all the attendant features. The device is more suitable for autonavigation, surfing the web outside the home and watching movies. And with this he is fine.
The cost of the tablet is from 7,000 rubles. For example, in the store of my city the price is 6938.28 rubles. I think it is relatively inexpensive for such a tablet.
