We continue to upload videos from the international mobile conference # MBLT13 , which was held in Moscow on May 15 .

One of the speakers was Kei Shimada , a futurologist from Dentsu, the largest Japanese advertising and communication holding. He is the Director of Business Development at Dentsu Innovation and is developing new global business opportunities in the field of digital technology.

At the conference, Kay gave a presentation on mobile innovations in Japan: "Innovations are meaningless if they do not bring long-term benefits."

The Japanese have always been one step ahead of the rest of the world in terms of innovation. Kei provided an interesting statistic of what was first developed and implemented in Japan:

Kay spoke about the development of mobile ecosystems and that NFC technology is one of the most sought-after mobile innovations in Japan and why it is so underdeveloped in Russia. NFC chips were introduced in 2004 by a Japanese transport company and by 2012 the number of users had risen to 40 million people (machines in Japan installed NFC chips selling coffee, snacks, lemonades, train tickets).
