NeoQUEST-2013: the confrontation
The spring-summer season of hack quests continues with the second of the NeoQUEST series: NeoQUEST-2013 . NeoQUEST is an annual competition for specialists in the field of information security, whose participants on a competitive basis solve exciting practical problems related to the protection of modern information technologies.
As planned, on February 18, 2013, we completed the qualifying round, which lasted for two weeks. Now it's time to talk about the next stage of NeoQUEST-2013, during which the best participants in the qualifying round will compete for the main prize, which this year is a trip to one of the largest international conferences on information security in the autumn of 2013, to choose one.
The face-to-face tour NeoQUEST-2013 will take place on July 10, 2013, within the framework of the 22nd scientific and technical conference “Methods and technical means of ensuring information security” , the general sponsor of which is NeoBIT.
The quest scenario has become even more extreme than before: to get the coveted prize, the best of the participants admitted to the full-time stage will have to escape from prison. All they have is 8 hours to avoid being electrocuted, and the whole range of their information security skills. As in the past year, we will try to present to the participants in an unusual way the tasks related to the security of non-standard devices, cloud computing, virtualization, cryptography, and other most pressing problems of cybersecurity. And also something else that will come as a surprise to most participants.
