The famous distributor of computer games Steam seems to be going to make innovation in the gaming industry. Yesterday on the steampowered forum I came across a post with the following content:
Coming soon: borrowing games? These strings just showed up in the latest Steam client beta release: Code: "SteamUI_JoinDialog_SharedLicense_Title" "Shared game library" “SteamUI_JoinDialog_SharedLicenseLocked_OwnerText” “Just so you know, your games are currently in use by% borrower. Playing now will send% borrower% a notice that it's time to quit. " "SteamUI_JoinDialog_SharedLicenseLocked_BorrowerText" "This shared game is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
Of course, there is no official confirmation of this, but the Internet has buzzed that Steam will allow the user to borrow games. Maybe this idea was born in the head of Gabe Newell, who is watching the XboxOne / PS4 war, in which Microsoft chose the right decision by allowing them to play offline and share disks. Whether this function will be claimed on Steam is still unknown, but that it’s useful is not in doubt.
