Free repair of equipment

I put the idea on Habr's judgment, I do this for the first time, so I can not predict the reaction.

Recently, an article about the movement that is a few enthusiastic people in London who gather once a year and fix equipment for people free of charge, prolonging her life, has slipped. The main idea - the use of technology for any time, how much the owner decides, not the manufacturer of the device.


I really liked the idea. I myself am not an expert in the repair of any equipment, but often I have to repair my PC, reflash phones, not working routers, and repair a lot of any other equipment. Electronics is my hobby, but I got a burning idea, since it is not only a huge plus for the end user, but also the ability to gather different enthusiasts in one place.

I propose the idea to create a movement of the same kind, to find possible sponsors, and to pay the cost of repairs and the road for those who want to participate from nearby districts of Moscow.

I want to know the opinion of Habr will come out of this or not? Is it interesting only for me or are there still people ready to waste their time and energy?
