Finalists determined for the IBM SmartCamp competition
The IBM SmartCamp competition expert committee has identified five finalists, including young and dynamic technology start-ups.
The first challenger was the developer of video analytics systems " Synesis ". The company received a prize in the nomination "Smarter Planet" during the Startup Village conference, which took place on May 26-28 in Skolkovo, and got the opportunity to participate in the IBM SmartCamp final outside the qualifying round. Also the finalists were: the developer of cloud solutions for the financial sector, the company RAKS , the manufacturer of intelligent systems for medical diagnostics of the organism, the company Intelmed , the developer of solutions for diagnosing and monitoring the effectiveness of the therapy of socially significant diseases AngioScan-Electronics and the supplier of innovative energy-saving solutions for enterprises of housing and communal services and oil and gas sector LLC SinproTEK .
When examining applications for participation, the expert committee, consisting of representatives of the management of IBM and OJSC RVC , considered promising projects implemented within the framework of the concept of a “ Reasonable Planet ”, and paid particular attention to the analytical component, as well as the prototype of the proposed solution.

During the final stage of IBM SmartCamp , which will be held June 17-18, 2013 at the Digital October Center in Moscow, entrepreneurs will be able to present their projects to the jury, hear expert opinion, get advice on further development and discuss options for possible cooperation. The jury will include representatives of the Russian and foreign venture capital industry, business leaders, industry and technical experts, heads of IBM and RVC OJSC.
Following the results of the competition on June 18, 2013, one finalist will be selected from five applicants who will take part in a three-month in-depth mentoring program from IBM, as well as an opportunity to present their project at the regional finals of IBM SmartCamp in Europe.
IBM SmartCamp is part of the IBM Global Entrepreneur program, represented in Russia in 2012 in conjunction with RVC OJSC. Participation in the program allows you to get free access to IBM software and hardware, technical support for the project, advice and assistance in promoting the finished product to the market.
