Most fixable Windows components for the first half of 2013
We ranked the Windows components that were most corrected in the first half of 2013, as part of the Patch Tuesday fixes. The rating did not include components oriented only to Windows Server and components of other products, for example, Microsoft Office.
On the graph under the column “Other”, we combined the components for which no more than two vulnerabilities were fixed. The table below provides detailed information for each component. ')
As you can see, the most fixable components were: Internet Explorer, the Windows subsystem driver — Win32k.sys, the .NET Framework, and the ntoskrnl kernel. Vulnerabilities that were declared as exploited by it at the time of their closure are marked in red.
