Today, for the new year, Apple Software Update downloaded and installed a new Beta version of Apple Safari 3.0.4 (523.15) for Windows in my MS Windows XP
From the obvious changes: the last figures in the Beta-numbering have changed, the previous one was (523.13).
I did not really understand what was updated in it, but according to my feelings, it began to load Apple.com faster and probably should be more stable.
Over the last month or two, it has already been released (if I'm not mistaken) 3 or 4 of the Beta version of Safari 3 for Windows.
Such a frequency of updates suggests that the developers at Apple have concentrated on finalizing Safari for Win, and it is obvious that the Final Release will appear very soon.
It can be assumed that the final release of Safari 3 for Windows will be released in time for
Macworld Expo `2008 (Apple likes to coincide with releases for such major events), i.e. by January 15, 2008!
Now, many are afraid to use the Beta-version of Safari for Windows, because of the inherent Beta’s instability. But it is impossible not to notice that the release of the final Safari for Win coincides very symbolically with the tragic death of Netscape Navigator :(
I wonder how the balance of forces will change in the browser war, after the release of the final release of Safari for Windows?
