Computex 2013: Cover InkCase with a second screen on the E Ink
Everyone probably remembers both the “phone for Putin” and the YotaPhone smartphone with an additional screen on electronic ink. Both are concepts. But at Computex 2013, I found a real, efficient and almost ready for mass production case with a built-in second screen on electronic paper. Now you can upload photos in a couple of seconds, and soon you can read books and news from him. Video insider.
With the phone case communicates via Bluetooth (supports Bluetooth 4.0). To meet all needs of life, he has a 500 mAh battery, which is recharged through the microUSB port (the smartphone itself is also powered). Now for the case there is a program InkCase Photo, which allows you to upload a photo to it. Then more books and a universal manager will be added, who will in the background display Twitter or Facebook tape, weather reports and sports news on an electronic paper screen. Now there are modifications of the case for iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy Note II and Samsung Galaxy S4. They promise to make for many other popular models. The case will cost from 100 to 130 dollars. The iPhone version will appear in August, under the Samsung - in September. That's what I managed to find out. If anything, Computex is not over yet, and I haven’t been leaving Taipei yet, so I can try to look at that stand again and ask your additional questions :)
