Google's Android 4.2 keyboard is now available on the Play Store as a standalone application.

I remember the news that the SWYPE keyboard appeared in the Play Store (albeit for a fee, for 1 dollar), caused a small stir in Habré. Now one more interesting news, also concerning keyboards. The fact is that now anyone (this person should have a gadget with Android OS, of course) can download the Google Keyboard from Android 4.2 from the Play Store.

Now developers will be able to update the keyboard without having to post keyboard updates along with the next OS update. So it is quite possible that soon we will see improvements, elimination of bugs and other goodies, and the process of improving the keyboard will accelerate.

Not so long ago, the corporation singled out a few more applications from its OS, which had previously been built into Android, and now laid out as a separate element. This applies to Gmail, Google Calendar, Hangouts and some other applications.

Until now, a user with a version of Android other than 4.2 could have installed either an alternative keyboard application or a cut-out keyboard from Android 4.2, by downloading it from a specialized resource. As far as you can understand, the keyboard, although it is now a standalone application, is still not suitable for all devices. Nevertheless, it is worth trying to install it anyway.
