At the end of May,
DevCon 2013 took place in Moscow, a large conference for software developers and testers.

DevCon conference is not the first year and has already managed to catch the fancy of Russian developers and guests from other countries. A key feature of this series of conferences is its country format, the venue is carefully chosen from the best guesthouses near Moscow. At the same time, all conference participants drove into a country holiday home and lived there for two days of the conference, receiving all the pleasant advantages of these places.

The first day of the conference began with the arrival and registration of participants who received badges and comfortable backpacks for memory.

While some participants were registered, others had the opportunity to appreciate all the delights of the conference venue. The beautiful nature of the resort is pleasing to the eye.

Everything was ready for the first activity of the conference - the opening and plenary report. That was how the plenary hall looked empty ...

... And with the conference participants.

Jonas Persson, Jason Zander and Alexander Lozhechkin opened the conference with a plenary report, during which technical demonstrations and presentations of new devices were held on the Microsoft platform.

And behind the scenes at this time ...

After the plenary report, the participants waited for lunch and many parallel activities. We interviewed some of the participants and broadcast them in between the reports.

Other participants visited the exhibition of partners, where they could see and touch the products of companies, talk with experts from Intel, Samsung, Parallels, JetBrains, Qualcomm, DevExpress, Merlion and others.

The main program of the conference this year has grown to 66 reports that we broadcast online. At the same time, 6 exclusive master classes were held, available only to conference participants.

Many reports gathered full halls of spectators. Master classes were generally crowded, people stood in the aisles.

During the breaks of the conference, the participants struggled with mosquitoes as much as possible :-)

And we also talked with each other, attended coffee breaks, rested.

The guest house Microsoft was located in the center of the conference, where they constantly held contests, answered questions, held question and answer sessions with speakers and so on. Here you could try new devices on Windows 8. In this area, there was always a lot of people ...

One of the visitors to the Microsoft zone was Alexey Shulenin, who has been attending DevCon since 97 :-)

Many conference participants were photographed as a souvenir at special zones or just where they liked it.

Live music played on the balcony of the central building all day.

Participants offered different contests, for example, collecting keyboards from memory.

In the evening at the conference site was very beautiful.

The participants were offered drinks and a variety of evening activities.

Including the performance of the Leprechauns group!

The second day of the conference began with a cheerful charge, after which participants were able to visit the reports of the main and additional programs in 9 parallel rooms. The final chord was the solemn closing ceremony of DevCon 2013, during which we awarded the best participants of the conference with valuable gifts and summed up the results of the “Hunters for Achievement” competition.
