PrivatBank will release an application for Google Glass

PrivatBank wants to become the first bank with an application for Google Glass . According to the bankers, an active development of the application is already underway - it should be released as soon as the glasses go on a wide sale. With its help, it will be possible to scan and pay checks and receipts, make transfers by voice, receive money at ATMs using a QR code, pay in stores and at gas stations. The website of the bank has a page open for those who want to be the first to know about the release of the application. The bank posted a video on Youtube showing the capabilities and intended interface of the future glasses application.







Unfortunately, the bright future shown in the video still looks overly optimistic - there is a lot of legal and ethical debate around Google Glass. It is not yet clear whether it will be possible to just go in glasses with a video camera to shops and shopping centers, and whether it’s not necessary to communicate more often with gloomy security guards and policemen, and not with smiling sellers. However, if such a giant of the market as PrivatBank is interested in lobbying the relevant laws - everything can turn out.



PrivatBank is the largest commercial bank in Ukraine, which owns about half of the payment card market in the country.
