At the end of May, Samsung Electronics announced the start of a worldwide competition for Samsung Smart App Challenge 2013 mobile application developers, which aims to identify the best applications using the sharing feature between Group Play devices.
This is the second such competition, initiated by Samsung for developers in the Android environment. Participants will compete for a record prize fund of $ 800,000 and will benefit from promotion. In addition, this year the winning companies will be considered by the venture fund Samsung Venture Investment as applicants for investment. The competition will select the top 10 applications developed for the Group Play service, implemented in the new flagship smartphone Samsung GALAXY S4.

All mobile application developers can take part in the competition, regardless of their geographical location. Those who wish to participate must submit an application on the competition website (http://www.smartappchallenge.com) and register their applications with Samsung Apps from June 20 to August 31, 2013.
Participants will compete in one category - Smart Chord Apps, that is, applications that support the Group Play service. The jury will select 10 winning applications, which will be different original ideas and fully cover all the features of the new service. Participants should use the Samsung Chord SDK developer package, which helps to automatically create a group of multiple devices in real time.
