UN expert urged the world community to slow down the creation of combat robots with artificial intelligence
The UN Human Rights Council proposed to temporarily ban the production of combat autonomous robots that can independently decide on the destruction of live targets. Experts are confident that if you do not hold back the development of such technologies, then in 30 years we can expect the death of many people at the hands of “some robots who got off the program at one moment”.
On Thursday, UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Christoph Heins, called for a widespread moratorium on the production of lethal autonomous robotic systems (LARS).

Unfortunately, we are quite behind in robotics. It would be nice if, besides the initiative 2045 , there would also be an initiative protecting our future. And this could mean a new arms race.
