The new drive reads and writes BD-R, BD-RE, BD-R DL, BD-RE DL discs and supports future versions of Blu-ray discs (BD). BD-R and BD-RE discs are recorded at a speed of 2x. CD / DVD is also, of course, in the list of supported formats. The device is capable of writing DVD-R / + R at 8x speed.
