Debian Armel on Nokia N9

We take archive from them from here . Install Xmimd , this is a virtual keyboard under the touchscreen, you can use a bluetooth keyboard, if you have one. As an image, systems are advised to use Debian for Arm, as the most stable. I installed Lenny, but there is also Squeeze and Wheezy. All this is here . After installation, immediately available: OpenOffice, Iceweasel / Firefox (with Java and Flash), Icedove / Thunderbird, GIMP, Evince (PDF, PS and DVI reads), Leafpad editor, Synaptic package manager, PC Man manager, Open Java, Python 2.6.6, sound support & tools. Also: Abiword, Gnumeric, Geany and gedit programming text editors, gftp, TeXMaker / TeX, Maxima / wx Maxima and Yacas CAS (Computer Algebra System), Python tools (IPython, NumPy, MatPlotLib, Sympy, etc), gcc / g ++ 4.4 .5, make, dpkg – dev, etc.

If you succeed, the phone will become a handheld industrial computer with Debian power, full access to the file system, Debian repositories and virtually unlimited possibilities.
