Rupert Murdoch sees no need for the distribution of News Corp. news products . between internet portals. At a recent conference, he said that, building the business strategy of his media conglomerate, does not rely on online traffic generators. “We’re not sure that the portal model is the model of the future,” says Murdoch. “And we believe that people go straight to the sites.”
The London site of The Times, owned by News Corp., is less popular than the BBC site, but has about 6 million visitors per month. “I don’t think you should go to Fox to find the Times materials there,” said Murdoch.
