WordPress turns 10 years old

One of the most famous CMS - Wordpress - is 10 years old. At the moment, it is used by a huge army of bloggers and professionals, including such major projects as CNN, TechCrunch, Dow Jones, UPS, NBC Sports, TED and several others.

In this regard, Matt Mullenweg, who is considered the author of Wordpress and owns the rights to the trademark, wrote a nostalgic blog post in his blog, the first lines of which confirm that Wordpress is another successful product that has appeared thanks to enthusiasts.

The real story of Wordpress began back in 2001, when the author of the b2 engine, Michael Valdrihi , made the first record as follows:

A little less than two years on the same site you can find another post from which it follows that the b2 engine will get another development together with the already mentioned above Mett Mullenweg and Mike Little under the new name Wordpress. Five days later, historically, rather than formally, the first version of Wordpress came out with version number 0.7.
