As we wrote recently in
this article - we are on the verge of a boom of electric cars. Alas, not everywhere goes like this. The Danish firm Better Place on Sunday
announced bankruptcy . Shaya Agassi's great plan for the auto industry revolution failed.

Better Place began building infrastructure in early December 2008 from the first charging station near the Glillot junction, at one of the central gas stations in Israel, and by September 2012 it already had 21 stations for changing batteries. In the second quarter of 2012, direct deliveries to customers began, and before that, in January, Better Place distributed 100 cars to its employees. The car in question is the
Renault Fluence ZE , the price of which started from 122,300 shekels (about 33,160 dollars) not including the battery, which was the property of the company. To the cost of the car, a subscription for a charge of 27,500 shekels for three years ($ 7,450) was calculated with a mileage calculation of 16,500 km per year. For comparison - the cost of the popular in Israel Mazda 3 is 123,000 shekels (33,350 dollars) at a price of gasoline of 7.26 shekels (1.97 dollars). At the moment, the total number of cars sold in the Israeli market during the company's existence is 940 units. The future of all electric cars purchased is questionable.
