(Kiev) Free course on design solutions based on Cisco UCS and Nexus

MUK, the official distributor of Cisco on the territory of Ukraine, together with the Cisco office in Ukraine, invites specialists from Cisco's partner companies to attend a course that will allow them to successfully prepare for the Cisco UnifiedComputer Design Specialist accreditation.

The curriculum is designed for technicians who develop solutions based on Cisco technologies for corporate customers and personally participate in their sales. As a result of its passage, participants gain knowledge about the technical features of Cisco products, as well as Cisco concepts, technologies and solutions as part of presales customer support. Particular attention is paid to virtualization technologies and how they influence the design of solutions for data centers. It will highlight issues related to the implementation of CiscoUCS / CiscoNexus, including solving problems that customers face today.

The course will be held in two streams:


The first stream: from June 17 to 19, plus the final day of June 22

The second stream: from 24 to 26 June, plus the final day of June 29

Course program:

Day 1.

1. Overview of the structure of building data centers. (general familiarization with the course)
2. Model Data Center3.0.
3. What you should pay attention to when designing data centers:
- Cable management, cooling system, power supply system.
4. Classification of tasks performed on servers.
5. The purpose of data storage systems.
6. Principles of storage systems.
7. The principle of the SAN. Their differences from LAN.

Day 2

1. Overview of the FCoE protocol. Alternative FC (FibreChannel) ((not to be confused with FiberOptics))
2. Unified networks.
3. Overview of the Nexus family of switches.
4. A brief overview of the features of the Nexus7000, Nexus 5000, Nexus2000 and Nexus 1000v switches
5. The use of Nexus switches. The principle of building networks based on Nexus-switches.
6. Application of virtualization in servers.
7. VMWare functionality. How using VMWare products can improve your customer's life

Day 3

1. Overview of Cisco UCS C-series servers.
2. Components and benefits of C-series servers.
3. Application servers C-series.
4. Overview of Cisco Blade Systems
5. Features of Cisco B-Series Servers
6. Review of tools for creating configurations. Examples of work.

Day 4. Held 2 days after the end of the main course

a. Role-playing game with the test of knowledge gained.
