Quadcopter or machine on the radio? Both!

Every day many interesting projects appear on Kickstarter, and probably there will not be enough War and Peace volume to describe at least a small part of such projects. Nevertheless, sometimes there are projects that can not be mentioned. The new project, which received the short name “B”, is a hybrid of a quadrocopter and a radio-controlled car. Moreover, the size of this device is quite significant.



As a “B” machine, it can drive over rough terrain, turn quickly, write various pirouettes. But if there is an insurmountable obstacle for the wheels, then the machine turns into a quadrocopter. In this case, the transformation will not take much time, a few seconds, and that’s all - we will fly. In order to shoot the interesting ones on the video, the device is equipped with a 720p camera, plus a slot for a microSD memory card.

The developer claims that the machine / quadrocopter is sufficiently protected from drops or bumps. Most of the parts are elastic, flexible, plus the propellers are not fixed very tightly to provide additional protection. So the suitcase blades for a carry will not have to.



Previously, the author of the project “B” worked on another similar project from DARPA, HALO .



As you can see, the prototype works fine, there are no problems with movement on the ground and in the air. To start the industrial production of the flying machine the developer needs 86500 euros. At the time of this writing, 3 days have passed, and 19,145 euros have been raised. The end of the Kickstarter campaign is July 3rd.
