You do not often see this on the Internet, especially in Russia. Therefore, I would like to share with respected Habra users information about one, I think, interesting and useful contest, in which practically everyone who ever wanted to write a story about their hobby, passion or serious scientific research can take part.
')
For the second year in Russia, a nationwide
Science Festival has been held, the main goal of which is to draw the attention of ordinary people to science and show that science is not only “botanists” in white coats and glasses who are engaged in something incomprehensible, but also extremely interested and enthusiastic young and promising people developing old and creating new technologies.
Within the framework of the 2013 Science Festival, the
Elevator to the Future program and the
Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov organize and announce the launch of a new, unique competition

The main age limit is up to 35 years, but we are all young!
The title of the competition contains the main idea of the whole event: to bring to the very average person in the most simple, but not simplified, performance the answers to extremely complex questions that concern the best world minds today.
The main directions of the competition:- chemistry and materials science, including (among other possible topics):
functional materials

It seems to me that this was at least interesting for those who write non-fiction articles on Habr and talk about their experiences. For example,
BarsMonster ,
Bredun ,
Zelenyikot , as well as many, many other authors.
Sometimes briefly, and sometimes not so much about the news of science and technology, you can read on
