Opera 14 for Android has been released!

Hooray! No, even more, OMG! Final Opera 14 for Android is out! We were waiting for this release no less than you to show you all our ideas, implemented from scratch on a new engine.

Opera 14 for Android is built on Chromium 26 , on top of which lies the interface completely rewritten by the platform, perfectly complying with all the design principles for Android. You can download the new version from Google Play or open the m.opera.com mobile link and try the browser in action.

Great browser for Android

Today we support the version of Android 2.3 and higher. This is important, since 38.5% of Android users are still on “gingerbread” , but today they will be able to get all the features and speed for the web along with users of modern versions of Android.

Please note: Opera 14 for tablets has not yet been released - we are still working on various near-tablet interface improvements and will release it later.

Completely new engine

Opera 14 runs on Chromium 26, which does not yet include Blink and is still running on WebKit. However, we are planning to carefully follow the Chromium development releases and make frequent engine updates, so wait for Blink soon.
