American magazine PC World has published a list of the
25 worst web sites of all time. Some of these sites were created during the dot-com boom times to receive investments, others are examples of poor design or require too much private information from users.
Absolutely the worst site of all time is the “new American idol”
MySpace . With an audience of 90 million users, this site has extremely poor design and usability. Due to the fact that millions of people here publish photos and talk in detail about their lives, the site has become a very useful tool for all sorts of online scams. The overloaded web pages load the PC CPU. In addition, it is also a
hotbed of viruses .
The online
CD Universe , which in 1999 refused to pay Russian hacker Maxim, was released to PC World, and he unveiled 350,000 credit card numbers;
Microsoft Windows Update site, which works only in IE; as well as webmail
hotmail.com .
