Code School is a project from
Envy Labs , which has already implemented about 30 online courses on various technologies and programming languages.

The learning process is reduced to watching videos and repeating what was learned, with all the exercises performed directly in the browser. The training is quite
gamified : to go to the next level, you must perform the exercises from the previous one, and for doing the exercises, points are added, and badges are added to your public page.
Courses are led by Gregg Pollack, Jason VanLue and other Envy Labs employees. They are well versed in what they say, so the courses look nice and interesting (and they also have good
music ). Errors also happen, but they try to correct them, and also to make lists of the sent errors, if something else is not corrected (
example ).
To access most of the courses, you need to sign up for a paid subscription ($ 25 per month, sometimes you can subscribe for shares for $ 9). If you do not subscribe, you can take the first level of paid courses (or take free courses, but there are only 7 of them there at the moment).
')
The good news is that
New Relic decided to prepare a gift for everyone on
Geek’s Pride Day and sponsored free two-day access to all courses on the 25th and 26th of May (
EST ).
Therefore, dear habraiser, you have an excellent chance to usefully and with pleasure to spend the next weekend. In order to access the courses, you need
to leave a request on the Code School website.
And yes,
Rails for Zombies is their job. :)
And the
course on LOLCODE is also (made by April 1 of last year).
Good luck and success in your studies!
