After-party Google I / O serves as a robot bartender (some photos + video)

Yes, on Habré a couple of times already published news about the robots, bartenders who do their job perfectly. One has to think that after a while such devices will appear in ordinary bars and restaurants (perhaps, as an assistant for the bartender-person). Well, in the meantime, robots bartenders serve visitors to technology exhibitions and press conferences. At the afterparty of Google I / O, the attendees were entertained and watered by Makr Shakr , an interactive robot barman.

The principle of operation of the device is quite simple:
')
1. We order a drink through the use of a mobile application;
2. The ingredients of the cocktail are added through the dispenser;
3. The “hand” of the robot adds the necessary elements of a cocktail, like a lemon, or mixes a cocktail;
4. The drink is sent to the one who ordered it on the conveyor.

Of course, for the convenience of the “client”, the progress of making the drink is shown on the display, in real time. You can see how many people are in front of you in the queue, the approximate waiting time for the order, plus an alert of readiness.

Among other things, you can see which drinks are most popular among customers. The customer may also suggest improving the cocktail if there is such a need.

The most interesting thing is that the project Makr Shakr does not set as its goal the replacement of bartenders-people. The goal is slightly different: studying the influence of technology on some of the usual elements of social life for us, like visiting a bar.
