Good programmers do not have time to keep it up to date. Often the most intelligent candidates have the most unreadable and terrible resumes. Making a well-styled resume requires a lot of time. On this, as a rule, there is only time for those who sit without work and instead of engaging in self-education, they endlessly draw up a resume.
The list of past jobs means little. Three years of experience in Yandex? Congratulations! But at 100% it only means that you were able to have an interview. What exactly did you do and how well - there are no answers in the summary. Most of the developers worked in unknown companies, many of which did not even reach the release.
The number of years of experience is useless if it is unknown what tasks were solved. Perhaps you spent 5 years supporting the old project and you know only all the bugs of the closed X library, which is not used anywhere else.

Well and most importantly - they are not looking for resumes. A good profile on Github, Habré or Stackoverflow will give a lot more job offers than any superfood resume. And if you really want to write something to your employer, it is better to spend your energy on the cover letter - to tell why you want to work here and how your experience, skills and enthusiasm will help the company.
