Apple has extended two-factor verification to the whole world

At the end of March, Apple introduced two-factor verification for some countries (USA, UK, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand) and now after a month and a half each inhabitant of the Earth can secure their Apple ID.

Two-step authentication is standard: after entering the password, a unique code comes to the user's device, which must be entered to complete the process. In case of losing the password, you can access your account by entering the Recovery Key, which is recommended to be printed and stored in a secret place.

Apple has not yet extended SMS verification to other countries, so for verification it is necessary to enable the “Find My iPhone” service on the device that will be used to obtain a unique verification code.

upd: The enable option is available in the English version of the site.
